According to Hoops Rumors, the Philadelphia 76ers have acquired point-guard Tony Wroten from the Memphis Grizzlies. In return, the Grizzlies will receive a second round pick. Wroten would have likely been the third-string point guard for Memphis behind Mike Conley and Jerryd Bayless.
Fortunately for Wroten, he will see a larger role in Philadelphia. He is expected to get much more playing time, which will give him the opportunity to prove his upside.
Wroten averaged 2.6 points and 1.2 assists while playing 7.8 minutes per game during his 2012/13 rookie season.
What makes the 20-year-old special is the fact that he can play the point guard position naturally while being 6’6″. He was selected by Memphis with the 25th pick in the 2012 NBA draft.
