Portland, OR - The Portland Trail Blazers are coming off of a great season, in which they finished with a 54-28 record. Head coach Terry Stotts had a lot to do with the improvement, as he was able to motivate and get the best out of his players. According to reports, the Blazers and Stotts have agreed to a contract extension that will keep him in Portland long-term.
The Blazers have signed head coach Terry Stotts to a multi-year extension. Well deserved.

Stotts had a rough first season with the Blazers, but the third year of his deal he was able to deliver exactly what the team brought him in to do. His players completely bought into his system, and it’s obvious that they truly like their coach and are listening to him because they trust him. That being said, it will be intriguing to see how the team bounces back next season after having a successful year.
“Terry has done an outstanding job during his first two years with the organization. This extension illustrates our confidence in him as our head coach as well as the Portland Trail Blazers’ continued commitment to building a model of consistency and stability.” - Neil Olshey, Trail Blazers GM
The Trail Blazers haven’t had a bright future to look forward to over the past couple of years, but it couldn’t look brighter now. With emerging star point guard Damian Lillard and underrated star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, the Blazers have the leaders and pieces in place to compete in a very tough Western Conference. This is a great move for both parties involved, and Portland basketball will be in good hands for the foreseeable future.
