The Philadelphia Sixers have officially hired Brett Brown as their head coach.
Brown is currently 52 years old. He was assigned to the San Antonio Spurs’ coaching staff since 2002. He was also the head coach of the Australia men’s national basketball team at the 2012 London Olympics.
Brett Brown, who earned a four-year deal with the rebuilding Philadelphia Sixers, is the second assistant coach that Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs have lost this off-season.
Although Philadelphia is currently rebuilding their squad, Coach Brown definitely has a ton of talent to work with. A major part of his job will be to help develop rookies Nerlens Noel and Michael Carter Williams. Sixer fans should be excited and confident with the addition of Brown, since he has worked with Tim Duncan and Tony Parker for over a decade.
