If Carmelo Anthony decides to opt out of his contract, he will consider the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks, according to ESPN.
Via ESPN: “The Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks are all teams Anthony would consider starting July 1, sources say, if the 30-year-old decides to become a free agent this summer.”
Anthony could join Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah in Chicago, James Harden and Dwight Howard in Houston, or Monta Ellis and Dirk Nowitzki in Dallas. Phil Jackson, Derek Fisher and the Knicks are trying to convince Anthony to opt-in to the final season of his contract.
The Miami Heat also look to target ‘Melo. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh would likely have to opt out of their contracts and take pay cuts in order to add Anthony to their big 3.
