Yeah you're right, I was thinking of Communism. But socialism and communism are very similar. Communism is basically an extreme version of socialism. Here's a good article explaining the difference between the two and it shows why communism (and sometimes socialism) almost never work. http://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/100214/what-difference-between-communism-and-socialism.asp (you definitely won't even read this but oh well) But yeah I guess having very little socialism is okay. Seems like where we disagree most is on the amount of benefits poor people should get from the government. You made it sound like we should just help the poor out as much as possible and take away from the rich. I disagree on that because if someone refuses to work and just doesn't do shit because they're lazy, why should they get money from the government? If someone has a disability or they're a war veteran it's completely different. Of course we should help those people. I just don't like the idea of taking away someone's money who worked their ass off to earn that money and giving it to people who refuse to work even though they're fully capable. Not only is that just not right, but over time it'll kill our economy. Giving poor people who refuse to work money discourages them from getting a job. And it really discourages them from pursuing an actual career like a doctor or lawyer. We won't see the affects now, but if we developed a socialist-dominant economy over the span of a long time the percentage of doctors/lawyers/teachers will decrease. See the problem with that? And the reason I said it's okay to have some socialism is because socialism can give people opportunities to be successful (like making college cheaper for example), and I'm all for that. But like I said, my main problem is giving lazy people money who don't deserve it. May be harsh but that's how I feel.
Key word I used... "longterm"... and maybe you should read the whole thing and it'll make more sense ya dick. It's a fact that no socialist government has ever worked in history. And that's the problem with you. You don't listen to anyone and always think ur right. Whatever man. Stay ignorant.
lol your top guy was Bernie Sanders... a socialist liberal. You realize that if the U.S. was completely socialist, over a long period of time, there would be significantly less doctors, lawyers, mechanics, teachers, etc. and our economy would go to shit? Socialism promotes the distribution of wealth equally. It sounds good up front... oh yay everyone gets more money, whoo hoo!! Sounds great but that money has to come from somewhere. It comes from people who work their ass off to make a lot of money. If someone can work at McDonalds and make almost as much money as a doctor, why would they want to go to school for 8+ years to become a doctor? If you can't see possible longterm problems that would cause then there's no getting through to you. You sound like an uneducated voter who voted for Obama because he's black.
It's not drawing fouls that's cheating the system... it's flailing your head back like you just got shot every time you drive to the basket. Yeah it's obviously part of the game but he's tricking the ref into thinking he got fouled when he really didn't....that doesn't make it ok just because he does it a lot lmao. The NBA needs to fine guys harder when they flop and the refs need to be more cautious about it. Simple as that.
