Why do people think that Marcus Smart can only play Point Guard?

I've seen so many other people around the web and on tv saying Smart is going to be bad if Rondo is still there since he's playing behind Rondo or Rondo is going to leave since the Celtics picked Smart. Smart can easily play the SG position...

Thoughts? Do you think he's going to be playing the two guard?

He won't start at SG. Avery Bradley is a great defender and can stretch the floor.

Smart should be coming off the bench for a bit. Depending on what happens with Rondo and Bradley, he could be a starter in a year or two

Iverson was 6'0.

We don't need him to be a guy that sits on the three point line and chucks up threes. We need a guy to get into the paint and score there or set up our bigs

Mr. Smart has the potential to be one of the greatest. Reminds me of a young Wesbtrook/Tyreke with his athleticism and ability to drive and finish. He has the inner fire and competitive nature to push himself in super stardom. It won't be long before Boston is his city.

My future roomate is a Celtic fan from Boston, i texted him about the draft and he's adamant Smart will eventually be the starting 'SG and Rondo will not be traded.
