All time physically strongest players in the NBA

In your opinion, who are the strongest players to eve play in the NBA ?

Mine are:

Wilt Chamberlain:2,16 m,125 kg,it's said he could bench 500 pounds(almost 227 kg),he was definitely one force of nature.

Shaq:same height as Wilt, but add 22 kg to the weight(total of 147 kg),he was a domination center and almost anyone feared the powah of Shaq.

Dennis Rodman:Only 1,98 m,and 100 kg,but the guy was a living mountain. He is arguably the best rebounder of the new era,and could bench 465 pounds(211 kg),also Phil Jackson, who coached both Shaq,Rodman and many other great players, said that Rodman was the most physically strongest player that he had coached.

Ben Wallace:No strongman list would be complete without Big Ben.Standing only at 2,06 m(reported to have been even smaller,2,01 m)and 109 kg,he is one of the best defensive centers ever.In 2004 finals,he made Shaq's life under the rim,a living nightmare, despite being very undersized, both in height and weight. Also IMO,he is the main reason the Pistons got their title that year.

I probably may have forgot someone, but these are who I think were the strongest.

Artis Gilmore was pretty strong as well.

Also, I'd definitely add Charles Barkley, LeBron James and Michael Jordan in there.

It has to be Wilt, the guy was insane in terms of strength

Also Michael Jordan was really strong even though people don't consider him a lot of the time

Hmm Iggy,he does have quite the arms and explosive power...also as many mentioned, totally forgot Malone,he sure was one hell of a strong and big dude.

I remember reading somewhere that Phil Jackson was comparing Jordan with someone he had coached at a time(maybe Kobe?),and said Jordan was physically and mentally stronger than that person.

1. Wilt Chamberlain

2. Shaquille O' Neal

3. Artis Gilmore

That's the top 3, IMO.

The league had many strong dudes over the years but these 3 stood out IMO.

Shaq and Karl Malone are the first that come to mind for me. I always think how ripped Malone is when I see him haha.

I don't want to sound like a [expletive deleted], but I seriously doubt that Wilt would be able to bench 500lbs. His arms are too long to be able to lift that much weight; a normal rep. for somebody like Wilt would be like 2-3 reps for you or me. He's only 125kgs, which is heavy in the scheme of things, but not massively heavy for somebody as big as Wilt. If an absolute prime Shaq maxed out at about 450lbs, I really couldn't see Wilt reaching anything above 400lbs.

I completely agree.

Willis Reed and Alonzo Mourning were insanely strong too and no one has mentioned them.

But yes my top 3 is:

1) Shaq - he used it more!

2) Wilt

3) Gilmore

HM: Big Ben

This is a new one.

1. Shaq is the most strongest NBA players ever. No one used strength more often than him and he made some ridiculously strong athletes look like children. And more often than not, he established amazing position and carried two-three people when he finished at the rim.

2. Wilt- whether he bench pressed that much is questionable... I think he did bench press a lot.. but he didn't use that much of that strength on the court except in the later LA years.. looked strong.

3. Artis Gilmore- Like Wilt, he didn't use it that much on offense... but on defense and rebounding yeah.. and he's earned a ton of praise for it

That's my top 3.

Others I'd include are Earl Boykins (insane bench press numbers for a guy of his size), Charles Barkley, Ben Wallace, LBJ, Jordan and so on.
