If Magic and Michael played each other right now at the ages they are at, who do you think would win a 1v1 game?
I'd take Mike.
I'd take Mike.

Right now? Magic Johnson.
Magic used to punish shorter guys in the post, inclunding Jordan. MJ relied more on athleticism, and both lost plenty of course. Magic's bigger and taller (and that plays a big part now that they're old) and I'm sure he still got some post moves that he can still use easily with little athleticism used. Jordan had plenty of skill and fundamentals but it's easier for a guy like Magic to guard him now that he doesn't have that athleticism he used a lot.
In both their primes, Magic could still punish him in the post but he was a pretty average m2m perimeter defender, MJ is probably the best scorer ever and he was also a beast defensively, so I would take him even though he couldn't stop Magic in the post.

MJ vs. MJ
I'll take MJ, I think MJ would do a great job defensively on MJ and still get his own.
MJ wins in a close one.
