Only two SF's are ranked in the top 20 for blocks per game ( although Josh Smith is eligible at SF). They are Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Kevin Durant.

Kidd-Gilchrist proving right away he can be a major defensive presence as a rookie.
Off to a good start.

How is a rookie small forward averaging 2.2 blocks a game not impressive?

Kidd-Gilchrist will quickly become the best perimeter defender in the league. He's gonna be special

Im not impressed a couple block shot deosnt make you a defense presence, Im not saying he isnt but I hate when people rank defense just based on blocks and steals

MKG career will be very similar to Tony Allen's. defensive mastermind who is arguably the best in the league but you dont want this guy to take a jumpshot so he is very limited.
List of Real G's in the NBA:

Jamal Crawford, Marshon Brooks, Leandro Barbosa, Ray Allen, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Gordon Hayward, Jonas Valanciunas

Of course its not the be all end all on the defensive end, but still a small forward blocking 2.2 shots as a rookie is extremely impressive. Thats all it is if he doesn't get down and dirty to play great all ball defense, but its still impressive regardless.
