@ESPNChrisPalmer: Barkley (very loudly): "The Nets will have a better record than the Knicks." -- Charles needs to face reality.

I don't agree. Knicks are playing great right now, while the Nets barely beat a Celtics team that did not have an actual point guard playing and had to figure their offense out for half the game.

Not disagreeing or agreeing... but I'll always remember when Charles Barkley was the only analyst who said Mavericks will upset the Lakers and defeat the Heat to win the championship in 2011, and everyone thought he was crazy then as well.

I'm happy to say, I also believed Mavericks will win the championship. After that Lakers series I was positive.

I think people need to take into account that although the Knicks are starting better than the Nets.... it's only 10 games or less until the season. lol Then we have to see how the Knicks play when Amare returns.
I'm for team Knicks over Nets, but I can't laugh out loud that it's a possibly Nets can have a better record then the Knicks when it's all set and done... because they are the Knicks....

Seriously. Everyone always says TNT is the best, they are funny but sometimes they make me wonder whether they are even worthy of talking basketball. You have Shaq saying Brook Lopez is better than Dwight Howard, and Charles saying this BS. Barkley is always hating on the Knicks as are others for no apparent reason. The Nets are nowhere near the Knicks defensively and from what I've seen they struggle to maintain leads and close games. The Nets have struggled against weaker teams like Orlando and Minnesota and lost to the Heat by 30, the Knicks have beaten just about every team they've faced by double digits. I guess Oakley embarrassed Barkley during their fight and since then Barkley has developed hate for the Knicks.

I'm starting to think that Kenny Smith is the only one who has a little bit of sense in his head on that show.

Nah, that won't happen! I gotta say though that the Nets are not a joke team in the NBA, they're a problem when you play them now. It has to do with their improved team but just moving to Brooklyn and rebranding their franchise has done wonders.

Also, there are actually expectations! They play in New York, as well. They've gained a hell of a lot new fans when they finally moved.

I cant agree with Barkley on this. If D'Antoni was still the Knicks coach I would say yes, but Mike Woodson knows what he is doing and the Knicks are here to stay IMO. Knicks will be a top 4 seed and be a tough out come playoffs. Thye might be old but they got guys like Kidd and Rasheed that know how to win. There playing Defense now and they have the fire power offensively to play with any team in a 7 game series IMO. Nets will either just make the playoffs or just miss the playoffs when it is all said and done IMO.

Lol agree. Shaq and Chuck (lately) are just b.s.ing and throwing out wild bold predictions to make the viewers think their train of thoughts are on a higher level lol. The Knicks have too much talent and are too deep of a team, for the Nets surpass them. I don't see the Nets getting higher than 7th seed.

I could agree. I mean, The Knicks are playing great now but we all know that the Knicks always go through one of those slumps in the middle of the season. While i watched Brooklyn play the Celtics last week and the Lakers last night and they are a good team and a fun team to watch. Although the new Barclays Center is too dark though
