I mean we have so many good players and a lot of fans were expecting the Raptors to do much better... they're deep, they added Lowry, Fields, Ross, Acy, Valanciunas... I mean these are pretty good additions!!
Jose off the bench is also a great improvement for our bench!
I feel like the Raptors are not winners...
It sucks though because we have a talented roster.

Lowry is pretty good
Calderon is pretty good
Jonas is decent
Nobody else is really relevant..a team won't do well with 3 pretty good players and 1 decent player. Not to mention that Lowry is more of a scoring point guard, and with Barg shooting the way he is, the Raptors won't win.

Davis and Amir are doing a good job off the bench though... I think the problem is that we're focusing our offense too much around Bargnani... I HATE THAT DUDEDeRozan is pretty good

They're doing a pretty good job off the bench, but a pretty good job isn't enough to balance out the lack of starting power with the Raptors.
But yeah. I agree there. Barg used to be a dynamic scorer but it's proved that you won't win that way and I'm not sure if anybody will trade for him anymore. Is he an expiring contract?

I agree I don't get why our defense is bad this year and good last year -_-... and the identity part is very true as well. But we do have exciting players we can build around. Valanciunas, Lowry and DeRozan are the main ones. Ross could be another good player we could build around. Keeping Davis and Johnson is also important. The rest could go.U guys dont really have an identity, like last season u guys were a fairly good defensive team, this year u guys are one of the worst defensive teams. And u dont really have exciting players u can build around

If you haven't seen Valanciunas play, means you haven't seen DeRozan play this season... DeRozan is showing signs of leadership this year. He's been averaging around 20 points a game even with Lowry in the line-up... he developed a post-move and is very aggressive getting to the rim. He barely gets any calls though I don't know why... in any case though, YES we could and SHOULD build around DeRozan and Lowry. Both have been fantastic for us this year. Valanciunas is also doing a good job.Lowry: ok yes

I disagree that our roster is talented. Defensively first of all we have no player that's even above average and our frontcourt is terrible. Bargs doesn't rebound, Demar's IQ isn't quite there, and Valenciunas is good but not great. Overall if you look at our roster top to bottom you won't find many teams less talented than us. Maybe 2-3...
There is a lot of young talent but no star potential anywhere. JMO anyways.

You're just saying this because your a Knicks fan and Landry left you, lawl.Landry Fields is terrible, what a terrible signing for the Raptors. I would consider the Raptors use the amnesty clause on him or trade him to another team that runs an up-tempo offense. Fields doesn't fit with the Bobcats in his rookie year he thrived in D'Antoni's system, since then he's struggled mightily. He's not athletic or quick enough to take anyone off the dribble, and his jumpshot is broken. This year he's averaging 2 points, 2 assists and 3 rebounds on 21% shooting and he has a 1.4 PER!

Hell no, I wanted him gone. That dude bricked so many wide-open corner three pointers last year, he's a shooting guard that can't make free throws. He was a major liability, Brewer>Fields. You're just saying this because your a Knicks fan and Landry left you, lawl.

I mean, the point guard is leading the team in rebounds, you aren't going to be winning many games in that situation.
