[expletive deleted]... can't tell if srs. All defensive team awards aren't based on the 12-13 season, so how many blocks he's gotten this year is pretty much irrelevant to his previous awards.

Dennis Rodman, Charles Oakley, Mookie Blaylock, Bruce Bowen, Gary Payton among many many many more players were not shot blockers... you gonna tell us they didn't deserve D-1st teams?

Perimeter players don't get many blocks... He already has 25+ steals and plays pretty solid defense. Does he deserve all of those selections? Probably not, but that's like saying that Shaq shouldn't have gotten his MVPs because he didn't have that many assists.12 all defensive first teams and Kobe is yet to record one block this season .

Although Kobe has not deserved his last couple All Defense Teams, the fact that he hasn't recorded a single block this season doesn't mean much considering he's a perimeter player. Not a post player.

Wade should have been it more than Kobe. Kobe was a great defender in his prime, but Wade>Kobe in terms of defense.

What this season has to do with past awards plus defense isn`t about blocks, watch games and you will see how good defender Kobe is and was not just look at stats.
