This year too. LA is 0-2 when he scores 40 and 3-0 when he scores 19 or lessLast year that stats also showed that LA won more when he scored less for some reason.

You know how many times he passes the ball only to see it get thrown to someone else or back to him?
Howany times has the bench stepped up? Gasol? Hack-a-Howard?
C'mon. Broad statement there.

Nobody should need to score 30, so if he does then his teammates aren't doing good.

When everyone is involved and Kobe's passes are turning into assists then his teammates is doing good.

Am I the only one who thinks its funny that he scored 29 tonight and the Lakers won?
That seems to be the magic number

Kobe is the only superstar who knows the secret to winning (teamplay) but doesn't apply it all the time. He knows he needs Pau, Dwight, Metta and his bench to step up in order for them to win, definitely when it comes to winning a title. But for some reason, he wants to win by himself when things get rough. Are Dwight and Pau playing superb? No. Have they caused losses? Yes. But Kobe needs to get them involved. Only he can do it, no matter what D'Antoni would say or do. So he needs to get them the ball and let them work. They will fail at times but that happens, that's life. But if he keeps this egoshit going, the Lakers will get nowhere but get ousted in the freakin' first round.

I think this may actually be a direct affect.
I wonder if Hornets would have came back if Kobe got his 30th point.

He needs to score from 25-30, but to do that on high efficiency within the team system and to maximize his teammates as well.

Kobe is back being the Kobe from 2005 up untill 2008. He's again trying to will his Lakers to victories by himself. This destroys all team chemistry and the confidence of his teammates. He's pulling off the same shit Wilt Chamberlain pulled off year after year.

You really have no idea what you're talking about. When Pau is sucking, Dwight in foul trouble/missing FT's, everyone else struggling, what other option does Kobe have but to score himself? Kobe has been very unselfish this season but when no one else is scoring he has to take over himself, it's that simple. But of course if you just look at the stats you'll assume he's being selfish, you actually need to watch the games.

If that's your reasoning, why doesn't he take every freakin' shot available? Why wouldn't he score all the Lakers' points? Why even play with five guys, just put Kobe out there by himself? I mean, Wade is struggeling but LeBron still gives hem a chance to shine. Why can't Kobe do the same?
Yes, Pau is having problems adjusting to a none-triangle offense. Yes, Howard is missing FT's. But that isn't the point here nor why the Lakers are losing in the first place. Kobe's got the second highest usage rate in the league, behind Melo. But in contrast to Melo, Kobe actually has other offensive options. But instead of using them, he refuses to use them. That makes the Lakers highly predictable on offense. It's Kobe one-on-one, periode. That's easy to defend. So he might score 30+ or even 40+ points, it doesn't matter if he doesnt' let his teammates get into their rythm too. Kobe takes shot after shot and then suddenly Gasol gets the ball. He got no rythm, no confidence... So what do you expect, he gonna make it easily? No, he's not. That isn't his fault. He just doesn't gets the chance to develop his shot during a game or to check his opponents weaknesses.
I will not go out and say Gasol and Howard are playing well because they aren't. But Kobe doesn't give them one chance to get it going. The Lakers would be killer if they use their multiple options but they rarely do. And that is Kobe's fault. He makes his team easy to defend. I don't even need to watch one single game to know this. It's exactly what he did post-Shaq.
