Who would you say is the most surprising player at this point?
For me, it comes down to James Harden & Anderson Varaejo. Between the two, they have had bolstering numbers so far, well above their career statistics, but I would have to give it to Anderson Varaejo. It's been three seasons since Anderson has been fully healthy, and he is having the time of his life on the court, and his scoring average has improved every season he has been in the league. He made a huge leap this season as well from 10.84 to 15.0 points per game, and 11.48 rebounds to 15.39 rebounds per game. Anderson, in my opinion is the most surprising player in the 2012-2013 season.
On the other hand, James Harden has shown his true value being the chief of his own club. I see him as a clear favourite for Most Improved, but we all knew he had this leadership and scoring punch in him. Anderson is just playing like a new man right now.

Omer Asik. Yea, varejao has increased his stats, but he already was 10rpg. asik went from like 4rpg to 13.
Jcrawford stat padding pretty well.

Varejao is finally showing that he can actually play well without LeBron. Him imo.
