Russell Westbrook is under-appreciated.

Averaging:
21.5 points per game
8.7 assists per game
4.7 rebounds per game
2 steals per game
42 FG%
36% 3P%
3.45 turnovers per game
He still gets a lot of turnovers but he's playing much better than last season so far. His assists have gone from 5.5 to 8.7 per game and he's shooting better from the three point line than this past-season. He's averaging more steals and less turnovers and has been a huge factor on why the Thunder have been doing so well so far.
I feel like Russell Westbrook is VERY under-appreciated. People still say Russell doesn't pass when he's averaging right under 9 assists per game.

I agree his turnovers have been a problem since he entered the NBA but he's still very young and I'm sure that with time, he will lower them to around 2 turnovers per game. My point though is that he's been so much better than last season and barely anyone gives him credits for it.I still wanna see him lower those turnovers and get a higher fg percentage

Very similar to the 10-11 season.
21.9 ppg, 8.2 apg, 4 rpg. 42% FG
imo hes better than rondo though. has a higher ceiling and will be a tremendous player in the future. not that he already isnt but his fg% is whats holding him back

He's been good this season, but the problem is that he's averaging the most shots a game on his team. Personally, I think the majority of the shots should be going to Durant, as he is a three time scoring champion. He's no doubt having a great season, but I don't like the way he plays with the best scorer in the league.
Durant's stats, and the Thunder's record aren't hurting, so what's the problem?

Dead serious.

I'm not really talking bout that though. I think he's underappreciated because he doesn't really play his position and doesn't feed Durant the ball enough. We praise guys like CP3 because they can do everything and do it on a consistent basis. Westbrook can be 2-for-9 in a game and still jack up shots whereas a smart point guard would try to feed his players instead of shoot his way out of it. I'm not really saying that it's horribly affecting the Thunder.Durant's stats, and the Thunder's record aren't hurting, so what's the problem?

That for the most part is a fair assessment.

18 PPG, 10 Assists, 5 rebounds on 45% >> 21 points, 8.7 assists, 5 rebounds on 42%.
Turnovers is nearly 4, but Rondo who is arguably the best PG in the league with chris paul has 3.5 so it isn't like the turnovers are the problem.

I feel like a lot of people are making 42% look like a terrible percentage. It's pretty average, not great, not bad. Sure, he can raise it, but it's not a huge problem unless he's going like 2-for-9 from the field in a game and tries to shoot out of it. It's kind of like Kobe and that 3-for-20 game. It's simple shot taking and smart play that can either make a fan really like a player, or not like him. There are Kobe fans and haters like there are Westbrook fans and haters. Anyways, I don't think his shooting percentage is the big problem here.If he gets a higher FG%, lowers points by 2-3, and adds a few assists then I'd say he is a top 4 PG.

Yeah, it is average, but people want to put Westbrook into the elite group.I feel like a lot of people are making 42% look like a terrible percentage. It's pretty average, not great, not bad. Is the elite group average?

Is the elite group average?
