Seriously, doesn't Stern think this game would get a lot of ratings after their playoff series last season. Instead, he has the Clippers and Nuggets. Nothing against Denver, but it's kind of a random game LAC vs DEN

Making an NBA schedule is wonderfully tougher than you might think

Probably not that simple. I've always been against Christmas day games anyway, let them spend time with their family rather than force matchups just for ratings.

Yes I'm aware of that.

So, they're not going to change EVERY game the whole season just to play that game. Yeah thy had a good playoff series, but they couldnt predict what they were gonna be like this year.

Christmas isnt a "magical" day or anything. Players can spend time with their families on most off days. And the NBA didnt have any games on thanksgiving, for that purpose.

Instead of focusing all the happiness and family love for 1 special day out of the year, people should wake up and realize they can spend time and can have a special evening with their families whenever they want. Happiness isnt reserved to a couple of man made holidays.

Christmas Eve is given a day off for all teams and only like 14 teams at most play on Christmas Day.

Basically what @ said, the Grizzlies are hibernating. Back to the whole Clippers-Grizzlies thing though, it's not really about the playoff series. Boston and Miami had one of the greatest playoff series of all time, yet they don't play Christmas day. The Celtics are playing the Nets though, which should be a great game nonetheless. Anyways, Christmas games have nothing to do with former playoff series, just scheduling. The Clippers and Nuggets should be a great game either way!

I lol'd, because, you know, actually we all know, that the Knicks aren't going to be making the ECF this season. I just don't see them getting too deep into the playoffs just yet. They'll be good, but not good enough. Playoff Experience > Regular Season record. Celtics and Heat meet up again in the ECF, mark my words.

Lmao, talent > playoff experience. ECF teams don't get blown out by Detroit
