When Melo was traded to NYK he came and pretty much ruined any chances of Amar'e winning MVP (which he was in serious contention for) and now Carmelo is having an MVP type season and has a legit chance to get it. If Stoudmire and Melo can't mesh well Stoudmire will most likely return the favor and ruin his MVP season.

Yea he had no chance of winning MVP lol. It's like saying Chris Paul winning MVP last year. Sure he was in the running for it, but it doesn't mean he was gonna win, or even close to the real winner.

I know, but realistically, even if Melo never came to the Knicks there was less than a 10% chance Amar'e would have won MVP. I don't think it would have mattered.
