The last time we saw one was Shaq, closest so far has been Kevin Love at 26 ppg. Do you think it will be someone currently in the league like Blake Griffin or Anthony Davis or maybe someone in Highschool or NCAA like Cody Zeller.

I think it's going to be a center in the future, who isn't even in the league yet.

The league is just waiting for a powerhouse center to come in and take over the league.

So I think it's gonna be once a center who actually knows how to work in the post and actually cares about the game of basketball (who woulda thought it would be hard for a player to meet BOTH requriments) Then it will happen.

Don't know honestly, in the past big men would take over the game and that's where most legends were, PF or C. In the present, you slowly see guards to take over but that's just my opinion and how I see the NBA today. There are still many elite and tough big men who have potential to score 30 PPG but I don't believe it will happen.

Let's wait first for the pace to become -much- faster and then we can look for that big man. Not even Durant is averaging 30 a game.
But even if the pace was faster, I don't see any big in today's NBA who could net 30 a game.

If only Dwight could hit free throws.

If only Shaq could hit free throws he would have average around 45 ppg forget 30 ppg.

I could see Love doing it due to his versatility with his offensive rebounding and shooting ability.

a center can't average 30 PPG and on a few post moves, free throws and jumpers. He needs to be a force inside the paint like Shaq was. If he's not as gifted physically, he needs a great post game. But I doubt there will be anyone like this soon, because the league changed and also the centers offensive game orientation
It can be done..

The direction the NBA is going nowadays, I don't think we'll ever see a bigman average 30 ppg again. If it does happen I think it'll be Kevin Love, but I don't really see it happening anymore. Kevin Love may be the only guy with an actual shot at getting there though. There's nobody else who I could really think of...

If only Dwight could hit free throws.

If he were a knock down FT shooter he would get 30ppg easily

Yeah for sure around the 27-31 range IMO. There'd be no solution for him.

If only Shaq could hit free throws he would have average around 45 ppg forget 30 ppg.

Haha truea

Love is the closest. He needs more moves to his arsenal to do so though.

There hasn't even been a 30 PPG player, regardless of position since the 2009-2010 season.
