Lebron has not been whistled for a foul for six full games.

Thoughts?

Haven't watched any Heat games recently so I cant really say if its superstar treatment or he just isn't committing fouls.

Impressive, if anyone in the league could pull that off it would be LeBron, so I tip my hat to him.

My thoughts: LeBron is one of the best defenders in the league. He doesn't make stupid fouls.

I mean I don't think it's superstar treatment. If it's let say 1st QTR and LeBron hits someone on the wrist, most likely they'll call a foul. Now if it's very late in the game then that'd be superstar treatment if they didn't call it.

It's not superstar treatment the game comes super easily to James he just doesn't make stupid mistakes or commit stupid fouls. How come the other stars like Durant, Melo, Kobe, Wade aren't getting this treatment?

Because they're not the NBA's poster child anymore.

It seems like superstar treatment is getting the benefit of the doubt when other people foul you. I'd like to see his fouls against totals, compared to less prominent players...

The plays happen so fast ( the referee cant think "wow he hit him on the elbow....Oh wait, its James). Furthermore, you can get superstar treatment on offense, not really on defense. LeBron is just one of the most intelligent player, won't get a stupid reaching foul and he keeps his arm straight when a player goes up.
List of Real G's in the NBA:

Jamal Crawford, Marshon Brooks, Leandro Barbosa, Ray Allen, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Gordon Hayward, Jonas Valanciunas

He plays pretty clean defense, he is getting the superstar treatment, but not here. The superstar treatment is there when he's getting really borderline fouls to be called in his favor and he gets to the line. He plays good defense though and doesn't foul too much.

He really does play clean defense. Besides, he got called for a few fouls last night against OKC. He rarely falls for anything typical, like the 24 pump fakes, create the 'contact' jumper.

However, his superstar treatment is when he's driving to the basket and the ref sends him to the line, no matter how aggressive the defense is. It gets old seeing that.

The one thing I will give him kudos for - he doesn't seem to flop as much as some of the other players. Kobe Bryant and Wade are excellent examples.

It wasn't superstar treatment. LeBron was just playing good defense and not making stupid mistakes. To be honest, LeBron's streak should be still going today because that was a clean block.

It's star treatment.

Defensively LeBron is not primarily a shot blocker from the front. He, like Jordan and Drexler like to block shots from behind. He also doesn't go for many steals and because of his speed and size he can stay with the drive/dribble w/o hand checking.

However... offensively. He does get star treatment. No doubt about it. He bowls over player like Shaq and Karl Malone... which they got away with many times.

I've seen on many occasion a offensive foul that goes uncalled... because it's James. Hooks. Charges. Pushing off. Down swipes.

It's all there.

Kobe, Wade, Melo, all get away with it too.

But for him to have 0 fouls for 6 straight games is not indicative of star treatment now. He's been getting these calls for a long time, as do most top-tier players. I think it's actually just coincidental and not because he plays "clean" defense... lol.

It has pretty been much this. He is an MVP for a reason.

Look, he's not the first MVP in history but no call in six games may be unprecedented.

I actually think that James is pretty capable of playing clean defense even for six games but I believe that he got away with calls in those six games. I base that on the fact that in every game I watch, all the superstars get favored in every game.
Of course I won't be assertive here as I didn't watch any of the six games.

He may be ushering in a new age of MVP not ever seen in the NBA.

Not sure if serious but many guys (not only in this thread) here, act like James is the God of basketball, the most awesome player ever and don't want to hold anything against him, no matter how unimportant that is.
