Do I think he's on Wades level ? No but he is close. (When I say close I mean he's close to this not 100% version of Wade.
Prime Wade >>>> Prime Ellis clearly.

D-Wade is much much higher.
But maybe one day he will rise to D-Wade's level.
No one knows this at all.

lol well that's funny, the guy is an inconsistent player who doesn't play much defense, and he's on the same level as Wade? I admire the confidence he has in himself but he's no where near the level as Wade
Bucks commentators thought it was a fair comparison

Even then that's a stretch. I get what he's trying to say, but Wade at his best vs Monta at his best, it's still Wade by far. And this is ignoring accolades. He didn't say he's a top ten player in the NBA. What he was saying was that, take away Wade's awards and rings, and him and Ellis have a similar skillset and level of play and that they would match up well and might even be regarded as the same-level player as Dwyane Wade. He's not saying that he's as good as Wade has been throughout his career or a top ten player. He's just saying that with both players having clean slates (no championships, awards, wins, etc.), he would be in the same tier of shooting guards as Wade.

Lol, now the Bucks will win it allReminds me of Eli last year when asked where he thought he ranked among QBs. Stat wise he has some very good seasons, so it is not like he is some scrub saying this. Even so he is pushing it with this is.

well yeah, nobody really agrees with him when he says that, wade is obviously the better player. but yeah you have to have that confidence in your self or else you'll never succeed in the nba. if you go around conceding that other players are better than you then you've already lost.

Wade - 20.3 PPG, 4.5 APG, 4.3 RPG
The stats are pretty similar. (Note: I left the percentages out because they are pretty irrelevant here. Wade plays with LeBron and Bosh which gives him open shots. Ellis only has Jennings.)

Wade had 49% shooting seasons without LeBron and his career average is 48.6%. Much better than any of Ellis' seasons.Ellis - 19.3 PPG, 5.5 APG, 3.6 RPG
Wade - 20.3 PPG, 4.5 APG, 4.3 RPG

And for the record, Wade's WS/48 and WS numbers are almost twice as big as Ellis'. Talking about impact.
And Wade is not completely healthy as far as I'm concerned.
EDIT: Ellis probably gives up on defense, at least half the points he produces on offense, so those stats are pretty deceptive. Hamilton averages 26 points against Ellis this season. He had a 22 and a 30 point game against him and his next best performance this season were 20 points... JS.

And keep in mind he's actually won something. The only reason you people think its "close" is because he's gotten older, playing less minutes, 2nd option and has Ray Allen to sub in for him.

LOL. Are you REALLY trying to whip out wins in Wades favor? If you watched the video, Ellis said he was just as good as D Wade WITHOUT the wins and championships. Also, if you exclude this year, last year (the trade), and his rookie year, he's consistently shot over 45%. You seem to also be forgetting that Wade had Shaq before Bosh and LeBron went to Miami.
