Nikola Vucevic sets franchise record for the Orlando Magic

The stat line of the night belonged to Nikola Vucevic, who finished with 20 points and 29 rebounds. He became the third different player in Magic history to grab at least 25 rebounds in a game. Dwight Howard (four times) and Shaquille O’Neal (twice) are the others.

With two rebounds in overtime, Vucevic was able to set the Magic franchise record for rebounds in a game. The previous mark was 28, which Shaq did against the Nets in 1993.

Vucevic’s 20-20 game is the first for an Orlando player other than Howard since 1998. Howard had the last 41 such games for the Magic. Horace Grant (one game in 1998) and O’Neal (15 games from 1992 to 1994) are the other players with a 20-20 game in franchise history.

Lebron James scored 36 points and dished out 11 assists to lead the Heat to the win. With the double-double against the Magic, he is one of only nine players with at least 15 double-doubles this season.

Sad for Vucevic the Magic still lost and LBJ also had an amazing night, 36/8/11. Congrats to Vucevic for setting the franchise record for rebounds with 29. I bet he will feels great grabbing the record and think about the centers that played before him with Orlando Magic!

They definitely don't miss Dwight Howard. + all the people who claimed the Magic got raped in their trade with LA look pretty bad right now. Too bad there aren't any Magic fans on here. This is a pretty nice team

They're 12-19. Not exactly anything to celebrate about.

We only use the Magic for Top 10 picks... preferably Centers.

Compared to what they were projected to be prior to the season that's not bad. Only reason they're 7 games below .500 is because they lost Big Baby about two weeks ago to injury, haven't won without him.

Lol you're funny.

They don't. Why would they want someone who doesn't want to be there? Vucevic wants to be there, and he's thriving in his place

a lot of people said that the Magic were going to be worse than the Bobcats lol. Dwight didn't make that much of an impact on Orlando, Maybe on Defense. But his offense is certainly not being missed.

Good for him, but it probably should've stopped at about 24-25 rebounds. There was one possession where he was just trying to tip the ball back up a bunch of times and got credited with five offensive rebounds.
