I don't even think this is a good idea, I understand they want to publicize the NBA but they should make their own NBA Europe league instead of having one huge. So many cons come with making it one big league it's ridiculous.

They have been working on it for a long time too-
It started in the technology area, then in China, then in the entertainment area, then basketball without borders, then basketball in India, training over there, games there...
Now they are working very closely for big basketball in russia...
The NBA has a better relationship with China than our Gov't...

In any event, I'm skeptical of how this can happen

Don't even see how it is possible. Any team on the NBA team that is held in china is going to be at a major disadvantage because of all the flying.
Also, many players would not want to live in china, or Russia or wherever the hell they want to put these "multiple teams".

It could also be some gig where the NBA would start / take over the various leagues there in order to upgrade things first-
That would take so, so long
We wouldn't see the actual NBA "merge" in our lifetimes but it would be another expansion that would make the NBA even more lucrative than all of the other major sports...

Really depends how it works. If they have to go through the NBA draft and everything then... maybe? But if it is just a euro team joining the NBA then no thanks.

China, the well known European stronghold.

I don't like the idea.If anything, they need to deflated the league to 24 teams.Alot more teams will have more than 1 real stars that can increased the PPG and the play's quality. It will make the rating rised like 80's again.
