Greg Oden is currently taking classes and playing himself into shape on the campus of Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio.
Oden is hoping to pick up with an NBA team before the end of the current regular season, according to former Buckeyes' teammate Mike Conley.
Oden intends to try again in the offseason as well if he isn't ready in the spring.

He's gonna sign with Miami I bet. He should sign with Memphis to play with Conley.

Heat or Celtics could both be good destinations for him. They both need size.

Perfect opportunity for Boston here. Low risk, high reward. They need size and why not give the 7 foot former number 1 pick a shot? If he stays healthy and plays well, then Boston just got a good piece to put next to Rondo. If not, it's just a bit of cap room that they probably wouldn't have used anyway.

Whoa. For a minute I thought I traveled back in time and was reading an old post.

Good luck Greg.

Centers are rare. Like really rare. I hope he can finally get his career going, even if its not what many envisioned.

I have to say that the year of his draft-
I picked him over KD
My Brother purchased me his Rookie Jersey, Draft Day hat and saved the front page of the newspaper in Portland- I saved them for my Basketball room...
I even stuck with my pick their rookie year- Greg was OUT FOR THE WHOLE SEASON. But I really thought KD was gonna be a bust!!!!!

Then this awesome- Basketball loving- humble guy just has had injury after injury...
Call it the Blazer Curse or because of his size...
Maybe bad things happen to good people sometimes...

I am just not convinced...

*****I hope that I am totally wrong!!

I would like to see the kid be able to have a career even if it is not what many envisioned. I know he would like to play for his hometown Pacers but we really have no room for him, so I would like to see him get to go play for Memphis with Mike Conley again.
When I die I want to be buried upside down so all my critics can kiss my ass- Bobby Knight

I would walk thru hell in a gasoline suit to play the game of baseball- Pete Rose

He should go back to Portland and finish what he started.

From what I heard the people of Portland and his coach and team mates were nothing but supportive, personally I'd only be interested in going back to prove myself to them.

the main main thing is do not join nba too soon, fix everything then you are ready to go, I wanna see how much he still has the blazers medical staff couldn't do their job correctly, he should find a team with very good medical staff, Roy made a comeback and timberwolves medical's suck ass now look what's going on, Rushed Love's return, rushed Roy's, ugly [expletive deleted]

He averaged 10 and 10 when he wasn't injured so if he's healthy he can be a beast for Miami or boston

A healthy Greg Oden on the Miami Heat would make Lebron look like a prophet.

"Not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7..."

Ok, maybe no more than 4.

Good for him. I'm glad he's making great progress. He could've been a good player if he didn't get injured.

I hope we can watch him play a full season.
This guy is cursed. Wasted a number one pick.
