I see what you guys are saying how they're just checking trades but teams like the Lakers, Spurs, Mavs etc would NEVER put Kobe, Nowitzki, TD on the block because they are LOYAL

Well that was Kobe demanding a trade, not the otherway around.

of course they had discussions for moving him. He wanted to be traded, the Lakers can't just say "no" and hope Kobe stays after his contract is over.

Only time trade rumors came up for Kobe was when he asked for a trade himself. Totally different.

Also ppl have to realise part of the issue the Celtics had in the 90's was that they held on to their aging big 3 of Parish, Bird and McHale too long. Even Kevin McHale admits they should have traded one of them (which really meant McHale or Parish as Larry was going nowhere) while they still had trade value.
I think Ainge is exploring all posibilities as he should. If he can move Paul for solid rebuilding options (not okay starts and role players) then he should make that deal. If a great offer doesn't come, then he can hold on to PP and KG and wait for some cap space to arrive.

I'm pretty sure that if the Celtics had a legit shot at Dwight or another star FA this summer (they didn't need D-Will) then they likely would have let KG walk as well as Ray. It wasn't in the cards so they brought KG back and sign Jeff Green and are making another playoff run.

because Kobe wanted out, you can't say the Lakers aren't loyal because they're trying to trade somebody who wanted to...

You're really buying this rumor huh?

The rumor that he is on the block...even if its just to see what you can get type of thing it's still unloyal

There is a difference between being disloyal and someone trying to make a name for themselves in NBA rumors.

Until proven true this are all rumors

And Ainge himself started beef with Red saying he should've done that.
