They are currently 7-1 after firing their headcoach but we all know teams can sometimes go on these big streaks once their coach is fired (sorry Laker fans)...then stepback to reality. I do not think the all the problems of the Nets were fixed by firing Avery Johnson.

So who should the Nets go after?

Rudy Gay? Kevin Love? Other big names? Minor roster changes?

Would you say D-Will and JJ are both untouchable in a trade? Personally, I don't think JJ is worth his contract and I doubt they get that much value for him, but you never know what's out there.

Maybe a PF who can score better than Humpfries or Reggie Evans to give Lopez some help on the offesnive end of the court, or someone who be a very good scorer off of the bench like Kevin Martin or JR Smith (obviously not one of them two, but just examples of what I'm thinking).

Nets have been playing well under PJ, hopefully they can keep it going for him. I don't know if it was or wasn't all on Avery Johnson, but it did seem like he always wanted to slow the tempo down. Plus, DWill was having a very poor statistical year, so that wasn't helping the situation.

They should trade Humphries for a defensive minded PF.

Billy king isn't capable of making a lop-sided trade. His stupid ass gave humphries a 10m/year contract and traded for the second most overpaid player in the league.

How was the nets hype over there in NY? What was the reaction like from NY fans and how many people bandwagoned?

Ton of people hopped on it, mostly cause they moved to Brooklyn. I saw more nets gear then Knicks at my college lol.

It's easy to market a team from Brooklyn

Keep what they're doing right now and give Brooks more PT.

Remember, they're on a 8-1 streak (you forgot to mention last night's win over Pacers), the offense is clicking, Williams is playing as fine as he's ever been playing, the rest are doing well in this period and bench has stepped up. They're clicking now. I think we all expected to see the Nets in the playoffs... not win the titles. They should just keep going on, fight for a better position in the PS and we will see how will they do there.

Only deal I could see them potentially doing is Lopez, Brooks, picks for Dwight and that's just if the Lakers get desperate enough to make a move like that.

they are stuck with all these new contracts, a team is too inconsistent they had losing streaks now a winning streak under a new coach I wanna see if they don't hit another losing streak. but this team is not a championship contender

Andray Blatche is your guy. He's playing very well for the Nets.

Okay, but I was thinking he was the backup center. I'm a really big fan of Blatche.

They are just lacking chemistry, and they need a small forward that can actually score.
