Earlier today, Mavs owner Mark Cuban told Tim McMahon of ESPNDallas.com that he plans to be aggressive in attempting to make a move before the trade deadline. Now, Cuban says that a trade before February 21st is a virtual certainty.
"I would say there’s a one hundred percent chance we’ll do something," Cuban told Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News.

"There’s nobody in particular we’re looking to get off or anything. But we put ourselves in position where I’m willing to take back money. If it’s the right deal, I’ll take back everything. I don’t care. It just depends. But like I said, there’s a one hundred percent chance we’re going to look to do something."

I wouldn't mind getting Gay. That might be our best chance of getting an Allstar caliber player. That's what the original plan was when we blew up the championship squad in 2011... D-Will didn't come here, Dwight didn't and probably won't next year, and I see no reason for CP3 to leave LA...

Gay isn't going anywhere. There were reports today that moving gay at this point of the season would be meaningless. They're going to stick with the current roster and see how deep they'll get in the PS

Sadly for Mavs fans this doesn't mean they do something major, it could just be small never know until it actually happens but gotta remember Mavs still think they can get Dwight so they probably won't be taking on a large sum of salary unless it's a superstar.

I doubt they get Gay...they don't want all the Grizzlies leftovers. They will probably go for someone like Granger who is more likely to be moved than Gay since Paul George has been playing good lately.
