17 mil isn't THAT much in terms of spending. That's like contracts for two mediocre players.

I was shocked too, but when you think of it, the Marlins gave up Josh Johnson and Jose Reyes to the Blue Jays. So, the Marlins did dump alot of their salary cap.

1st amount is 2013 payoll, 2nd amount is 2012 payroll, the % is the increase or decrease of payroll from 2012 to 2013

it wasn't picking anybody up it was resigning's I guess Angel Pagan and NLCS MVP Marco Scutaro are mediocre..
