Russel double covered doesn't pass to a wide open KD and launches up a 360 behind the back between the legs step back. Jumper

I reckon there are a few players that can lead this category. A lot of players take silly shots or wild shots from time to time but others do it more frequently.

There is also the category of players who just take rubbish shots - not difficult, not crazy, just terrible shots.

There are a few "chuckers" in the league and my top 5 would look like this....

1. Nick Young - can hit some good shots but also tries to shoot to get hot and shoot if he's not hot
2. Jordan Crawford - the Wiz struggle for offence but he takes some terrible shots
3. JR Smith - getting a lot better but that is half because of Melo. With Carmelo out we saw just how many crappy shots JR would still take
4. Monta Ellis - he is a great scorer but more of a slasher. When his shot is on, he is quite good but when it's not he still shoots and forces shots
5. Dion Waiters - hard to blame a rookie as his game will develop but started out as a chucker and needs to get out of that habit or just take better shots

Can't believe more people haven't said Nick Young, the guy thinks he can hit from wherever he catches the ball!

Westbrook will also force it at certain points.. Good when he's hitting, not so good when he's bricking.

Jennings only takes bad shots when hes hot, but other than that his shot selection isnt that bad.

Dion Waiters. although he doesn't take that many wild shots, 95% of his shots are contested step back fadeaway jumpers.

russell westbrook too

Hate to say it but Dion Waiters, most of it is being a rookie but sometimes he gets over confident and takes wild shots... Better to be aggressive than passive though

I can think of (no order)

Young
JR
Kobe
Crawford (both)
Waiters
Westbrook
Monta
...

Some make them more, others less, of course.

I can clearly say that stars back in the 80's and even 90's, or really players on average, had a much better shot selection. You also had less iso's when stars to waste the clock and take dumb shots though.
