DeMarcus Cousins has signed a four-year, $60 million deal with the Sacramento Kings.
Cousins, who will be making an average of $15 million per season, averaged 17.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per game last season, while shooting 46.5 percent from the field. At only 23-years-old, Cousins is only expected to get better and better. He is already considered to be the most talented center in the NBA. However, Cousins has a reputation of being uncoachable.
Fortunately for the Sacramento Kings, Shaquille O’Neal has stepped in to mentor Cousins. With the Diesel around, he is expected to help DeMarcus Cousins remain focused, calm, and on the right track. With his mind right, Cousins may swiftly take over the league as the most dominant center. Nonetheless, the pressure is now on the Kings new ownership, as they aim to put together a contending team around DeMarcus Cousins.
