Gerald Wallace Says Confidence Is “Totally Gone”
During an interview with The NY Post, Gerald Wallace quoted, “My confidence is totally gone … I’m in a situation where I feel like if I miss, I’m going to get pulled out of the game, you know what I’m saying? So my whole concept is just that you can’t come out of the game if you’re not missing shots.”
He went on to quote, “I think I lost the confidence of the coaching staff and my teammates. So my main thing is those guys can score, so instead of thinking about it so much, just trying to focus on defense, try to move the ball and get those guys shots.”
Wallace has only made 7 of his last 47 three-point attempts, and 12 of his last 62 attempts on shots 10 feet away from the basket. Wallace’s lack of contribution is a big reason to why the Brooklyn Nets, a playoff team, only have a 33/1 chance in winning the NBA playoffs, according to coral.
The Brooklyn Nets originally expected much more contribution from Gerald Wallace, who is making $10M per season until 2015/16.
