Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves has been injury-plagued all season, particularly in his right hand. The star power-forward out of Oregon missed the first 6 weeks of the seasons with a broken right hand. Love got that injury off the court, doing knuckle push-ups. Mid-way through the third quarter in a game at Denver Love hurt his finger, causing him to miss the remainder of the game. The Timberwolves’ PR tweeted the following:
Local newspaper writer for the Star Tribune Jerry Zgoda tweeted the following on Kevin Love’s injury:
Love had xrays taken, they were negative. sounds like he sprained third metatarsal, one of the bones he broke in October.
While it is not sure how long he will be out, it appears as if it is not to serious. Timberwolves PR also tweeted this statement:
Adelman said that Love told him he could have played, but wasn’t sure if he could shoot. #Twolves
When Love initially returned from his broken wrist he had trouble shooting with it, but he appears to be steadily regaining his shot.
