The Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers are pursuing Stephenson, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN. The Mavericks originally did not have interest in signing the 23-year-old guard, but have changed their minds after failing to land a superstar this off-season. The Lakers, who are heavily pursuing Carmelo Anthony, could also use Stephenson’s all-around game.
Stephenson averaged 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game with the Pacers last season. The former late second-round pick has shown improvement every season as his role continuously increased with the Pacers.
