Cleveland may witness LeBron James in a Cavaliers jersey once more.
Rich Paul, LeBron’s agent, has been giving the Cleveland Cavaliers hope during their pursuit of King James, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Yahoo: “At the urging of LeBron James’ agent, the Cleveland Cavaliers are pursuing a maximum contract salary slot to bring back the free-agent superstar, league sources told Yahoo Sports.”
“Rich Paul, the president of Klutch Sports, has been funneling belief into the organization that the Cavaliers are in strong position to lure James from the Miami Heat, sources told Yahoo Sports.”
In a recent tweet, Chris Broussard said that he believes Cleveland has replaced Miami as frontrunners to land LeBron James. Just yesterday, Dan Gilbert flew out to Miami and met with James’ agent. Now, the Cavs are attempting to trade Jarrett Jack in order to make enough cap room to offer James a max deal.
Additionally, ESPN recently claimed that LeBron could partner up with Carmelo Anthony and make a super team in Los Angeles. However, James and Anthony are not bound to take large pay cuts, which makes that scenario more of a fantasy.
