Marcus Camby is expected to be out of the lineup for 2-4 weeks following a foot injury vs. the Indiana Pacers.
“I just drove, landed and then felt a sharp pain in my foot,” Camby said after the game. “It was kind of similar to before. It’s pretty sore.”
New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson was asked if they will bring in a replacement for Camby.
“I haven’t had a chance to talk to Glen [Grunwald] and ownership about that,” Woodson said. “We’re just going to sit tight and let it play out.”
A possible canidate to sign could be Kenyon Martin, probably the best big man available in free-agency.
The center is in his 16th year so some wear and tear was to be expected the team said. Camby is averaging 2.1 points and 3.7 rebounds a game in a reserve role for the Knicks.
