O.J. Mayo has declined his $4.2 million player option and will enter the free agency market this off-season.
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle had a ton of negative things to say about Mayo earlier this week, due to his poor play and lack of effort.
Mayo started off the season averaging over 17 points per game, but had a very disappointing finish to the season. Nonetheless, Mayo is expected to be offered a much fatter contract this off-season.
