Pacers Have Strong Interest in Signing Shawn Marion

Shawn MarionThe Indiana Pacers are making a strong push to sign veteran small-forward Shawn Marion, who is one of the best unrestricted free-agents available this late into the summer. According to RealGM, the Pacers are reportedly interested in signing Marion in large part due to Paul George’s horrific leg injury, and are also looking at free-agents Jordan Hamilton and Jordan Crawford to add depth at the wing position.

Last season for the Dallas Mavericks, Marion averaged 10.4 points a game in nearly 30 minutes, and was a valuable contributor defensively for Rick Carlise’s squad. Marion also played a key role during the Mavs’ 2011 NBA Championship run.
